Starting Sarah’s Storybook Workshops

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all safe and well and… coping! Everyone will have their own challenges to overcome in times like these and as soon as the lockdown was announced I knew I wanted to help families get through it, even if it meant only touching a few households.

Straight away I decided to take the structure of my Storybook Workshops that I planned to take out into schools this year and present them to the kids on Facebook and Instagram LIVE! I wanted to keep the kids entertained and give the grown ups a bit of a breather (and perhaps even finish that cup of tea!)

My Drawing session for ‘Peculiar Pets Week’

Every week we have a new theme to draw to and tell stories about…  I share my hints and tips to making brilliant stories that many authors use along with different ways to make their books stand out and new ways to express themselves creatively! (find out more in the common questions video at the end of this post)

These workshops are COMPLETELY FREE and will be while the schools are closed! However I would LOVE to make them more interesting for the kids by reading books by other authors, using visual aids, and sometimes I need simple things like markers for my whiteboard and ink for my printer. If you’re able to donate a little something – ‘buy me a coffee’ here and perhaps you will help another parent in lockdown finish their cuppa too!

I have to say once I got the message out there I was overwhelmed by the response!

Please donate if you are able to and if not please just share my workshops with your friends so we can reach as many families in need as we can.

See more information on my workshops below.

Best wishes,

Sarah
